Greetings Poker Botters,

We just posted an important upgrade for the Omaha High-Low Poker Bot. A bug was discovered in the code of the last version which caused the bot to not recognize when it had the nut flush after an opponent made a large bet (in PL/NL games). That has now been fixed.

In addition, we added a new user option that allows you to control some of the post-flop folding decisions based on bet size. This setting is for cash games mostly and is now on the option menu, titled:

FOLD NON NUT HANDS POST FLOP WHEN BET SIZE IS MORE THAN…

The bet size is measured by big blind size and the default is 25 big blinds. We recommend turning that higher for lower stakes games. Be aware that some very strong non-nut high hands are still counted as nut hands by the bot, specifically:

• Second best flush if the best flush is a straight flush which requires no more than two cards to complete

• Best two or three full houses (depending on the situation) when a pair is on board, being as the best hand is technically four of a kind

This upgrade incorporates two new features:

• Post-flop Bet Size Recognition which allows it to make smart folds in cash games for large bets when holding non-nut hands.

• New card-reading technology which reduces (and hopefully eliminates) errors in reading cards, even if the poker chat window becomes temporarily obstructed.

Because of these changes it is now recommended to use the Aggressive Tournament Setting for all poker tournaments played with this bot.
