They are playing Oakland  thumbsup  Did you stack Sharpe with him. He is a decent price on DKs this week.    I have my entries in and mostly stuck with the original choices.  I have Sharpe in play on a few.  beer

I didn't use Sharp much. I used M Gordon + 1 of the SD receivers a lot, and also Dorsett on the other side a lot. Sam Shepherd a bit. A Cooper a lot. A brown some. Pitta 7 J James a lot but worked in J Reed a bit too.

I like my rosters but of course Sunday we get ready for the unexpected.

The learning process continues   banghead      So a small pattern I am  seeing is the winner sometimes, involves two partially  stacked contrarian teams , with timely picks from a couple others and the   DST  is almost  always needed.     Your contrarian Idea is a viable route to go.  We tend to go toward the common sense flow , using matchups etc.    I think to win big we have to go strongly contrarian (with a sound reason in our heads, as to why?)  A couple of our Rosters most weeks, should probably look a little crazy and get us nothing, But results show if you click into the top two contrarian style teams with good support choices  .   BOOM  thumbsup        This is just a thought and it is early in my learning process . Time to switch from Tag to Lag  lol.   I think I will compile at least two or three entries with this similar format and judge it from there.    boxing beer

P.S. -   This is starting to be an interesting challenge .  beer

The chiefs scored 35 freaking defensive DFS points. Never seen anything like that, and if you didn't have them you didn't have a chance at the real money.

Yeah, the unexpected always seems to happen in football which is why I said be a contrarian at the beginning of the season. Now if I would only do what I said....

Maybe we should just look at the lines tomorrow before the gurus publish their articles and try to pick a couple games/teams that we can see in our minds being high scoring which have low totals. Of course after yesterday the cat is probably out of the bag on everyone, with the Rams/TB/Seattle putting up big numbers and Jordy having a big day.

I got close this week to cashing, but with Willie Snead out, I don't see much hope. I switched to Michael Thomas in my one league and gave Mohamed Sanu a shot in another. We'll see.

popcorn   First ones that jumped out. - A. Luck , P Rivers..     WRs- T. Benjamin , P. Dorsett, T Pryor , A.J. Green , D. Jackson ....    RBs - Mel Gordon,David Johnson , Isiah Crowell , C. Hyde , G. Bernard . ... its a start , also need a  sleeper somewhere........  It "might"  have been an off style week and probably we should stick with JM , but I find it difficult at times to extract ,  which route he is actually going in his blogs. Huh? beer

I'm looking to target:

Dallas/SF
Det/Chi
Oak/Balt

...as possible big-score games that the masses will overlook because there will be several higher total games on the board. I watched some of the Cowboys game and think Prescott is starting to look good and he is cheap this week on Fanduel.

If you were to tell me that the falcons would score 45 points and Julio Jones would have one catch, I would have told you that you were crazy.
Shows how messed up this daily fantasy thing can be.

After reading Jm  .  He , at least targeted a few things in the games we were considering  .  Again it is finding some timely sleepers that others overlook .
For a rare thur. play -  I keep coming back to Dalton - A.J. Green    Why I like them -  They have played  N Y Jets (9th in Def last year) on  the road and won.  They played Pitt. a good home team and lost a tight one . Then lost to Denver ( # 1 def. last year) .   Now they have Miami at home .   Cin.  were the #2 offence last year.

For Sun.   I like your game choices , Prescott looks like the real deal , but I'am Still not sold on  them racking up the score, so I might pass on that one.   To go with your other two I thought the NO vs SD game as well...   beer

A. Dalton and ( A J Green 88% ownership  lol) not to bad of a game .  They were stopped at the line a few times or it could have been better.   In this one it likely comes down to the Quarterback, and Andy fell short at the line way to often.

Oh well on to the big Sun. Tourneys  beer    P.S .  Just another observation why DFS is tough to gage , while we are thinking Fantasy points a well coached   team like Cincy is thinking take the low risk easy win by not throwing the ball away .   JM is right when he tries to figure out who will be playing catch up and  will need to throw the ball more. beer

Hope you all have Julio Jones in your lineups. He has 51 points so far in draft kings.
Why couldn't he have done this last week? I had everyone do good in one of my lineups last week except him. If he had pulled this off last week, I would have made hundreds instead of less than 10 bucks...lol. Figures that the remaining players are doing average or below in the lineup I have him in this week :/ .

Matt Ryan = 500 yards + 4 TDs

Kiss your weekend goodbye (unless you somehow took Ryan + Julio against the Panthers defense)

Seems you always have those 2 or 3 Big  mystery guys or just small  cashes at best.     Carr was good in the Oak game and it had the  high scoring you predicted.  Not sure what we have to do I had Oak , SD, and NO ,   stacked on two tickets .  They were high scores like we predicted but it did not translate to Fantasy Points .  I actually won $8.00 on a Washington stacked ticket and got nothing on the No - SD - Oak Ticket  Huh? Huh? Huh? banghead beer

On my Millionaire entry on DK I scored 194 points. Rivers, M Gordon, Crabtree, Will Fuller, J Reed got most of the points.

I was "winning" $256 on DK before the Sunday night game (including $40 on a $3 ticket that had Hoyer as QB). I shouldn't have looked. As this night game plays out my "winning" figure will keep shrinking and I'll probably be lucky to get a pittance, because I don;t have pieces of this game on my highest scoring entries.

I am now going back and forth on two different ways to create rosters:

1. "The QB doesn't matter that much" approach: Pick a cheaper QB and build a handful of different rosters with a group of players you like this week using 1 or 2 QB's max

2. Pick a core group of guys you settle on, leaving only the QB+ 1 WR position open, then create 7-8 different rosters with those same core guys but different QB+WR1 stacked in the open spots (from same team) so that if your core guys do well (like mine this week) you will capitalize on any freaky breakout aerial performance (like Ryan + Julio today)

^I'm guessing Sunday's night game did not help one bit.

No, but my winnings only shrank to $151 which I consider fortunate given that final score. I'm actually up for the season now on Draftkings (for a short moment in time at least)

I like it.    I'am also going to have a least one roster  where I stack two teams heavy each week. beer

Yeah the thought occurred to me this morning why not do all three approaches? (The first one being try to pick an unexpected high-scoring game to stack). That will be the first one to do on Tuesday mornings.

So how to order the next two. Seeing how I don't really settle on a group of core guys until Saturday, I think I'll do that one last (one group with the QB and WR1 switched out a few times). So Wednesday nights after JM's article comes out I'll start working on approach 2 (the QB doesn't matter and picking 1 or 2 I like and varying the other players around them) then by Saturday I'll probably have the core guys narrowed and can try the last method.

You just need one Sunday per season to make a large score at this so all we really need here is the method and I think we're getting better !  rockout

I think I like these two game do or dies , there is one tonight and Thur  NYG vs Min and Ari vs SF    for  $3.00  and top prize $50,000.00   .   It comes down to three or four sleepers.    You can't really leave out D.Johnson - O.Beckham,S.Diggs or L. Fitzgerald  .K Rudolph   The rest is a crapshoot and also where the 50gs  is likely won. Huh? beer   Of Course if a couple of those guys bomb and someone leaves them out and has the right sleeper the 50 would be theirs. thumbsup       Some possible sleepers I dug up are  J Mckinnon  Min       Shaun Draughn  SF    V Cruz  NYG    John Brown Ari     Jeremy Kerley SF    T. Smith  SF  Adam Thielen Min   Carlos Hyde - SF   Jaron Brown - Ari    Huh? beer     Also a crap shoot  for a QB .  beer
