Marketplace Rules and Procedures and Sticky Bids

New Marketplace Rules and Procedures Effective Aug 10, 2017.

The marketplace is for goods and services that specifically relate to Shanky Technologies software programs. No discussion threads here please and no PPL or coding questions. Advertising for a non-related product is prohibited.

Marketplace sellers must first be approved by Egor prior to selling a product here.

Free Products and Services. These topics are free to start and do not need my approval. If I feel they are inappropriate for any reason, however, they will be removed.

For Sale Products and Services. Need my approval and I am not likely to approve a profile for sale unless it is first developed on the Working Profiles board and given to a small group of established members to test. The more established you are here as a member, the more leeway I am likely to extend.

Abandoned Threads. As a seller you are expected to be at your place of business supporting your product or service. If you vanish from your own thread for an unreasonable length of time, stop answering questions and replying to posts, or move all your support to your own website/forum and abandon the thread that you started, it will be removed.

Buyer Beware. Just because I approved a profile for sale doesn't mean it isn't an elaborate con job of some kind. I simply don;t have the time or resources to fully investigate sellers and products and rely on a reputation system here mostly, so purchase anything at your own risk. You would be wise to ask questions on the seller’s thread first and maybe even start a topic on the help board asking for reviews beforehand.

Receiving Stolen Goods. We consider this a crime here and will ban you if you are caught. Do not do business by PM with anybody that does not have an active established marketplace thread and only do business by PM with a seller for the profile in his thread. Do not do business with anybody soliciting you via PM. Do not even think about getting profiles or software that is for sale in the marketplace for free, or at a discount, from somebody other than the seller. Just be an honest person and you have nothing to worry about.

General Requirements for Sellers. Before contacting webber04, make sure you meet the following criteria or you will simply be denied:

1)  Egor approval.

2)  A standard warning will be posted on top of each sales thread.

3)  Links to other forums are not allowed, and this includes links to websites that have a publicly linked forum. If you have a website with a support forum that is OK as long as the link is emailed to your buyer after purchase and not available to the public.

Marketplace rules updated Feb 2 2011. We also will be a little tighter with the .ppl converter sales; you must have established some trust in the forum and shown that you can create decent profiles before we will sell one to you now. I encourage new sellers to sell text profiles, at least in the beginning of their business venture here.

New Rule Decememer 15 2012.

Minimum price for any profile - or any package of profiles - or basically any "thing" for sale in the profile marketplace, is $19.

I have to do this to protect my business and to keep people from offering dirt-cheap profiles as a way of building an email list.

All sellers have 24 hours to comply with the new rule.

Rules loosened some as we prepare for a new era. I am prone to let more of a free marketplace atmosphere return to the marketplace, as long as I feel comfortable with the seller.
