Some1 in this forum mentioned that there is a way to see player names instead of numbers on Bodog(by using a glitch).
I just cant find the post on this forum anymore.
Any 1 knows something about this?

Were you thinking of Party perhaps?

I doubt same "trick" can work on Bodog, Bodog have all tables anon, party only had a few.

When you log into bodog you can see that there is no longer your nickname written at the top left side of the lobby window.

guys check out the last 50 posts or so of this thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-poker/official-bodog-support-thread-11-22-2011-a-1129750/index26.html

the same guy who cracked party's anonymous tables cracked bodog's in 3 hours! the video will be posted shortly, and the bodog reps have yet to respond to the claims. could be a bigger security flaw than just de-anonymizing as well, code has not been posted yet. would love to get my hands on that code...

there's some talk that maybe the hack will allow you to become a superuser and takeover other players at the table. if so, bodog will either go back to the old client, or we can exploit the hack. win /win for us
massive massive lose for bdog all around what a joke company they are

Cool i found this little info for party poker (for anonymous tables) -->

if ( pokerTable.isAnonymous() )
{
//Display the neutered version of a table, Player 1 & Player 2 etc.
DisplayAnonymousTable();
}
else
{
//Display a table normally
DisplayNormalTable();
}

So we just remove the DisplayAnonymousTable(); and replace it with DisplayNormalTable();

Maybe something like this can be used in the Bodog client, scary stuff Shocked fishing

Not as big of deal as he was making it sound. Data-mining can be done by geeks, sure - and maybe HEM and PT3 will add that ability by using the same method he shows in that video if Bodog doesn't fix anything. But data-mining starts all over from now, since you cannot identify the player account numbers with their past screen names.

The only security leak I see really is the attempted account hacking thing, but I assume after x number of failed login attempts the software gives you a long timeout and emails you, like most other membership scripts do these days.

Here is what he said:

There exists a very simple brute force attack we can make on Bodog's server that they do not defend against. That's the focus of next week's video.
