Title: WebMTTAgg Gen2 Large Field Tournament Profile (Back on the market!!) - $50
Post by: webber04 on September 02, 2018, 06:33:13 PM
WEBMTTAGG GEN2

THE NEXT GENERATION MULTI-STYLE MULTI-TABLE TOURNAMENT PROFILE
(USING USER-VARIABLES)

Introducing a new generation of profile for the Shanky Bot. With “WebMTTAgg Gen2”, the user can just load the profile into the bot the way it is and let it play a very successful mtt style of poker. However, the true beauty to this profile is in the interchangeability. With just a change of a few lines at the top of each street, you can now change how the profile plays in different situations. Program the profile to play loose preflop, aggressive postflop, loose stealing. Or, Tight preflop, Loose C-Bet, passive on the flop, aggressive on the turn and river. There are a ton of different styles this profile can be programmed to play!! This also includes a rebuy section of code to allow the profile to play successful rebuy/addon tourney strategy!! Here is a list of categories that can be changed with a simple uncomment and comment of lines with more to come in the future…

  • Preflop play before the bubble (Tight/Loose/Default)
  • Stealing in Position (Tight/Loose/Default)
  • HU play (Tight/Loose/Default)
  • Shortstack Play (Tight/Loose/Default)
  • Early Stage Post Flop Play (Aggressive/Passive/Default)
  • Middle To Late Stage Post Flop Play (Aggressive/Passive/Default)
  • Continuation Bet play (Aggressive/Passive/Default)

The profile is delivered in Txt format for easy modification if desired
It also comes with an instruction manual in PDF form, for easy directions on
changing the styles of play.

This profile contains 10000+ lines of code.

Here is a brief description of the default play:

WebMttAgg is a profile that plays an extremely smart small ball approach. It starts with big betting in the early stages to gather a good chip stack. It uses the Dan Harrington "M-Zone" Push/Fold strategy and calculates exact M-Zone stages to make the correct shove. This profile makes very intelligent bluffs, steals pots and blinds with high percentages, plays implied odds and set mines in the early stages and tends to steal pots and make good calls when opponents are allin based on their stacksize, you're stacksize, and their range of pushing hands. In the mid to late stages it begins to switch gears and takes intelligent stealing opportunities. It also pushes using the same information making the profile in the lead on most showdowns. This is an excellent profile which a member took 1st in the FT Daily Double, and has recorded many other very successful prizes.

Hats off to Webber. This profile is an absolute monster. It has quickly become my favorite profile to use. I've been using it for about a week now. In that time, i've gotten 5th place twice and 6th place once. All 3 tournaments were roughly 300-500 folks. I just started using it for Micro Stakes SNG's and it absolutely wrecks. Today alone i've placed 2nd 4 times and 1st once($1 and $3 buy ins). I am extremely confident in its abilities and I'll probably test out low stakes MTT's and SNG's next.

I've actually watched this thing play for a few hours during this time as well. Even knowing it's a bot, it feels like a real player. It bluffs all streets without fear. Steals when it needs to. This is the genuine article. The only thing that would make the profile better is if it could read chip stacks(which is a bot limitation I think, not a profile one). I am 100% certain that it would play perfect ICM if it could. It makes some moves I wouldn't make if chip stacks were considered, but that is okay. It fooling destroys at the stakes I play at and I haven't had to change ANY settings. It's perfect. Plus, I don't think i'm smart enough to get granular and not screw it up. Hah. Cheers Webber. You created an automated poker pro.

Just one quick question.

I saw you defined the MTT stages for early, mid and late game by blind sizes. Did you adjust them on the avg stack size of the MTT?

Because depending on fieldsize, starting stack and starting blinds, this can be different.

Let say:

Early = avg stacksize equals 100 to 60BB to overall chips available
Mid = avg stacksize 60 to 30 BB to overall chips available
Late = avg stacksize <30BB to overall chips available

So for example we have 1000 Players with a starting stack of 10.000 each. Overall we have 10.000.000 chips at the tables. So if we start with 100BB the starting blinds are 50/100. That means, the mid stage should start at 600 players left which is equal to an avg 16666 chip stack. The late stage should start at 300 players left which is equal to 33333 avg chip stack.

So to get a good stage switch we need to have a look at the blind sizes, at the time the MTT reaches those avg stack sizes.

As far as I can see, you use static BlindSize values for the stages and a blindsize of >=200 for late stage. But if you play in a Large field MTT (3000+ players), deep or moster stack MTT with higher starting blinds, the code will start playing the mid or late game at the beginning of the MTT, where it has to be the early stage.

You have the ability to change these values to whatever you like (since the profile is in txt format)

That's why I asked, If you concepted the gameplay around the stages related to avg stacksizes. That way I only need to change 3 values.

I also saw, you have some lines specific for blindsize >= 200. If those are ment to define the late stage, i will change them too.

SNG or MTT?

For SNGs it's simple. For STTs for example 3 places ITM. So you can define it by OpponentsAtTable

For MTTs its pretty complex. You need to define on which avg. blind the bubble is reached.

However, I dont use the bubble code for MTTs

Made the FT on it's first test run. I made a few mods and additions, adjusted hand ranges a bit, and ended up playing a dozen or so hands; a few of which I'm glad I did. If only the bot could click 'details' and read how many players are left. Shoving to wide on the cash bubble right into the table top stack and then into the chip leader, it did chip dump on the FT first hand, then had to desperation shove napkins next hand.

All in all though, great profile, I'm sure it would profit overall assisted or not!!!

I like default options personally and usually did best on
- Deep Stack -> 50bb's or higher starting stack
- Non turbo -> 8+ minute blind levels
- 9-10 man tables
- Entries: 60 - 500+

Turbo not as much but there is more variance on that speed (Which I try to stay away from as much as possible)
If you uncomment the "// When Raises >= 0 User_Rebuy" line, it set it up to play rebuy strategy for all the rounds of the rebuy period.  The catch is that you will need to modify the BigBlindSize value to match the specific tournament you want to play on.
But it did really well in the Ultimate bet days.  I havent heard any reviews using this technique since so i am unsure how it will do there.

I loaded the vanilla profile to run a few micros on Ignition and watched it call a 121 bb shove from the big blind w/ KTo ... of course he had AA I'm gonna go through HH as well. Overall it makes great calls, hell i've seen it outplay a lot of players, but am noticing a trend of 'unknown' blunders. Time to dedicate a block of time for Hand Review

Yep I played the MTT profile a lot and also an SnG you made - both did well.
You probably won’t remember by I played as tester for you when you were trying to develop a cash profile - we never got it profitable tho.

Anyway hope you are selling plenty.

Noticed you sidestepped the question about the “ other place “ - but it seems to have disappeared from the net, so guess you packed up.

Not many people here these days - or maybe they just don’t post much.

Good Luck.

Highly considering buying this all day.
Reading everywhere and seeing that comparing to KGB it might have an edge for SnG because of its aggressiveness.
Have you ever heard of MTT Butcher v3 and know how this might compare to it?

Thanks

Just purchased this as my first paid profile. Playing in its first tourney now. $15 buy in. Will post thoughts. Won’t be too focused on results but if it pulls off a big win I’ll definitely let everyone know. Left everything on default.

One thing that is hard to watch is it gets itself in to thought spots with the preflop aggression then betting almost every time. Hit middle pair from the SB and bet it pretty big the folded to aggression from BB. Board was wet but was probably the right fold. BB seems like a bot himself.

Can I adjust the Cbet sizing? I’d rather randomize it better 33%pot and 66%pot. Making it completely random not based on strength of the hand. Possibly allowing board texture to influence it.

Bot is very easy to exploit. It raises you 3bet it folds. Super hard to watch. Screaming at it to flat. In a tourney where there is a 3bet every orbit. Just spewing off chips and not seeing flops.

Just 3bet itself with AKs and folded to a 4bet jam. Had the odds to call.

In its defense I’ll say it is running really bad. Pocket 10s and A and heart draw get there on the turn. Webb is still firing away which I want to like but villain called the flop with a heart draw on the board and now there’s an over Card and we are OOP. Check fold is the play or check call is the villain bets small.

Needs some tweaking but I like the direction it’s in. Definitely an aggro profile. Just overdoing it. Needs some cbet and turn adjustments.

Also needs preflop bet sizing adjustment. Has 20BBs and is 3x from UTG with 33. Should be 2.2-2.5 there.

It does seem to do well in SnGs. I will say that. I had more success with the Shanky built in MTT profile in MTTs.

Final comment for the night. This thing was made for SnGs. It demolished them. Out of 3 it made a 1st, have one running now and bubbled the other on a bad beat. I would love to see this at a final table. It just needs some early tourney work. If it could accumulate chips and make a deep run it would murder final tables.

One more. Made a very odd fold. There has to be something wrong. Called preflop with T9s. Flop KQcc blank. 130 in pot. Folded to a 60 bet. Gut shot and flush draw seems like an easy call.

I guess I have to go through and make adjustments in the lines I see fit. Definitely a good thorough framework. I was hoping for something ready to run out of the box. I’m wondering if certain lines are creating problems for other ones since there are so many.

@lozgod;

This profile can be easily tweaked just by reading the .txt file and changing the lines/sections you want.

You have to read to PPL-guide and you will learn to tweak profiles very easily.

Be careful; tweaking is easy but you need serious PPL-knowledge for creating a killer-profile

I’ll do my research. Played several tournaments. In its defense it was running hot at all. Would of been tough to play as a human. When it had a hand it knew what to do. Just made what I thought were some bad decisions. Especially in the 3 bet situations. I’m computer dumb but know poker. Hoping that can help me figure out the PPL part. Also some post flop decisions. It called 2 jams on a flop with AJ when the board was A 4 9r. Had the third best hand. Didn’t take SPR in to consideration or that it could be beat but it’s a bot not a human so I get it. I think with a good run of cards it would crush it as is. We all know good runs only happen every so often.
