Here's what I found on it.  Seems pretty much like FT might block players in Washington state to avoid this issue.  They did this in my state for a while by blocking based on IP location.  I was IRATE, but now they allow it again, so I'm okay.
 
I don't think this is really a concern, although I did see in a blog somewhere that there might be an online gambling ban imposed in the US in June.  I don't really believe that would ever happen, but if that were the case, I might have to move to Canada  LOL
